We're a new business so starting from the ground up so any tips will be helpful.
We've got a facebook page and website and just payed to Boost our current Facebooks page post. Is 'Boosting' really worth it?

How you promote your business is completely dependent on how you plan to trade, are you doing set days from set sites? If so you would need to advertise in the local FB groups and leaflets can work as well. Are you planing on doing artisan markets? If so boost at post aimed at the local people to where the market is. Are you planning on doing wedding/birthdays/events? Then aim your advertising at wedding groups/event groups/contact festivals.

get cracking and let the area know what you can do. They will be well excited if it looks good. Show your personality in your Instagram and the younger crowd will love it if you have a bit of humour and don’t take yourself too seriously. Just have fun and be active on Instagram. Facebook is good for the older crowd but I find it confusing to use. I gave out loads of free pizzas to nhs staff during lockdown 1 from my garden. Everyone was liking sharing and asking how they can get one. Then I started at local pub and invited the whole village for free pizza one night like a soft launch. Spent under £200 quid and advertised it on Facebook groups in the area. Got solid customer base from it and people know I’m a man of the people! Best thing I ever did

Give something away in return for a share. I can reach up to 20,000 people by giving away a few pizzas on a single post. Far cheaper and infinitely more effective than paying Facebook for an advert. Post some photos and business info on your page, tell customers to share/like/tag people/whatever and like your page and in return you'll pick X number of winners at Y time to win [prize]
It'll cost you a tenner in food and the reach is potentially massive. The reach also grown exponentially so the more you do it, the more people you'll reach

try to create a community. Use facebook and Ista and post nice picture. Let it be know you are part of the community and will support local initiatives. Donate part of your profit to a local charity.
